Harm Reduction Community Minister Fellows

From June 2026’s Love Feast and Graduating Ceremony of First Year Fellows

Our fellows represent a wide range of people working across different systems, tools, and populations in need of harm reduction approaches — people who may not have previously understood their work as being in conversation with one another, but who are each practicing a form of harm reduction ministry, whether in an explicitly faith-based space or in lay and applied contexts.

This includes people working in and around: sex work, disability justice and disability-informed care, unhoused solidarity and mutual aid, trans and queer care, sanctuary space, sanctuary medicine, and people's medicine, operational security and combatting surveillance, climate work and climate-related displacement and precarity, and relational and organizational care structures — the systems, protocols, and cultures that determine whether care is actually sustainable within a community or organization, not just offered by it.

This fellowship is comprised of individuals committed to justice, dignity, and the liberation of marginalized communities that are:

  • Harm reduction practitioners, in the widest sense of that term, seeking to integrate spiritual care into their work

  • Clergy, chaplains, lay leaders, seminarians, and faith-rooted organizers

  • People already doing this work who are looking for language, community, and formation to name and deepen what they're already practicing and/or who want the chance to build fluency in a specific skill, setting, or population they haven't yet had direct exposure to
